Poster Contest

The Willapa Heritage Foundation would like to invite all students currently enrolled in South Bend, Raymond and Willapa Valley High Schools to participate in a poster contest for our annual fundraising auction.

Rules are as follows:

  1. Entries will be due to the foundation on or before June 1, 2014.
  2. Entries need to be mailed to Willapa Heritage Foundation, P.O. Box 401, South Bend, Washington 98586.
  3. Posters must be reproducible on 8 1/2 x 14 inch paper.
  4. Posters may be done in any medium, i.e. computer generated or hand drawn.
  5. Designers of the poster have the option of including the following text, leaving space for this information to be added, or added as an overlay to the design:
  • 20th Annual Hearts for the Arts
  • February 14, 2015
  • Willapa Harbor Community Center, South Bend, Washington
  • Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
  • Live auction
  • Silent auction
  • Raffle
  • Tickets available at Sagan's Pharmacy and South Bend Pharmacy
  • $20.00 in advance
  • $25.00 at the door
  • Cash, checks, credit cards accepted
  • No host bar
  • Hors D' oeuvres

The winning design will be awarded a $50.00 prize and the poster will be used in advertising, on our invitations and the program for our annual Hearts for the Arts auction.

Willapa Heritage Foundation Accepting Applications for Scholarships

If you are a senior currently enrolled at Naselle-Grays River Valley High School, Ilwaco High School, Willapa Valley High School, South Bend High School or Raymond High School and will be enrolling in a higher education art program in the fall, you are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Applications need to be sent to the Willapa Heritage Foundation, P.O. Box 401, South Bend Washington 98586. The deadline for applications is May 15, 2014.

What We Do

We provide funding to artists, educators and community organizations working to support the arts and providing Arts based programs in the Willapa Harbor area.

We help promote artists by both supporting and organizing communinty events that showcase the Arts.

We hold one fund raising event each year, "Hearts for the Arts" which is entirely dependant on donations from artists and community members.
